So embarrassing
Yesterday I was driving home from the mall. The kids were hungry and tired and so was I. We had a hectic day to say the least. I stopped at a red light at a major intersection and when the light turned green I couldn't go............................Ugh! I was out of gas!!!!! I have been so busy lately that I overlooked something super important especially when you have a vehicle with 3 kids inside. I ended up calling 911 and they sent an officer to my rescue. It took about 20 minutes for them to arrive. Meanwhile I had so many people giving me dirty looks, honking, and starring. Only one person stopped to help but when I said I ran out of gas he said he couldn't help me and left. At one point I told the boys that all we can do is laugh. So we did!!!! What else can you do in a moment like that. (the baby slept through this whole event). The officer arrived and pushed me around the corner and then my brother in law "Super John" came to the rescue with some gas. Oh my heavens how embarrassing was this little episode!!!!!! Lesson learned, even when life is hectic, check to make sure that you have gasoline : )
Learning to tie shoes
Today it was so cute. Keaton and Talon first started out by putting on similar outfits. Then Talon put on his new school shoes and Keaton was trying to teach him how to tie them. This is the first time Talon has had "tie shoes". They worked together for quite sometime and then Talon decided he had enough. They are both so excited for school to start on Monday.

My Grandparents
I love this picture that my Aunt Linda took of my Grandpa and Grandma Salmon. My Grandpa gives the best hugs in the world, he makes sure that he offers you a drink, he asks about your well being, and always always says I love you when it is time to go. Grandma likes to visit, makes sure that we are fed, and too gives hugs and kisses. I don't stop by to see them often enough but Grandma does have family parties to ensure that we all get together throughout the year. I have great memories of them throughout my life. Some of them are.........painting ceramics, making suckers, cake decorating, gingerbread houses, gathering walnuts, playing in the irrigation ditch, feeding the animals, BBQ's, wearing Grandpa's t-shirts for sleepovers, cake club, taking me to appointments, visiting them for lunch when I was in High School, working at the Swap meet, family pictures gathered around their couch, puzzles, babysitting Keaton, coming to my school performances, decorating for Christmas, and just knowing that I was always welcome and loved.

Visit from Pappa Vic
Today my dad stopped by to visit us. He recently returned from his annual Sturgis trip. Each year he brings back all of the grandkids Harley t-shirts. He also got our outside grill up and running while he was here. We haven't been able to use it because some wasps made a home in it last year and it hasn't worked right since, anyway he got it working so now we can BBQ again! I will have to post the boys in their shirts later. (This is a picture from another visit he had with us).

Yum Yum!
Yesterday I made some apricot jam. It is so yummy! My sister Melissa along with Keaton picked the apricots that I used (thanks guys!). My sister Amber inspires me to be more of a "domesticated woman" (Thanks Am.) Amber also has an awesome garden, I made some great pico from the onions and tomatoes that she gave me.
