Talon got his Alpahbet crown!!!!!!

Yesterday was a big day for Talon at school. He was able to receive his Alphabet crown. At his school once they know all of the alphabet by sight, sound, and know if it is a vowel or not they earn a crown. He was so proud to show all of us!!!! When they get this at school they get to wear it all day so they can feel special. We are so proud of him : )

Love the cheesy smile!
Oh, I forgot.....we told him that he could keep his crown on his special shelf in his room and he said "No, I want to put it on my dresser with Jesus because it is very special". He has a statue of Christ on his dresser that he takes very good care of.

Disney On Ice

Tonight the 2 older boys and I went to see Disney On Ice (Daddy and Carter stayed home). It was a very well done production. It was so fun for me to see the boys smile and get so excited when they would recognize the different characters. Keaton was really into the whole thing. Talon got a bit burned out at the end and said that he was getting tired and needed food. They also thought it was awesome that the Jazz B-ball floor could be transformed into ice!!!!
This isn't the greatest pic but it shows the boys and some of the friends we went along with. Two of Talon's play date buddies came with their family. (This is during intermission).

This was a favorite for both Talon and I. It is the soldiers from Toy Story. I love the costumes!!!

They had many large creatures throughout the production. This dragon was pretty cool. Keaton liked "Bruce" from Finding Nemo. They also had a huge whale.

This is at the end of the show. All of the characters came out together. They also had some fireworks go off.

After the show we went out to dinner at the Sky Box at the Gateway. The kids were thrilled to finally be getting dinner. They were able to sit at a table with just friends. They thought they were pretty cool. It was yummy food and good company : )
Before heading home we checked out the water show at the Gateway. It was a cold walk back to our car but the boys had fun checking out the city!

So, this is what I found. My Dad Dan on his B-day last year. His work has an awesome work party each year and the whole family is invited. It just so happened to be on his B-day. It was a Luau themed party. He got invited on the stage to dance with the girls (he was thrilled about that one) He was such a good sport. We had fun watching him. What a crack up!

While I have this picture of him here I think I should tell a little bit more about him....Dan is such a great person and an awesome Grandpa. My kids love to spend time with him. He is their human jungle gym. I am so happy that Dan and my mom found one another. They are such a good match. He does so much for her and treats her very well. He is fun to talk to and has always been so good to me.

Dan also goes out of his way each year to bring the Christmas spirit alive. He puts a gazillion??? Christmas lights on their house, has wise men, angels, gingerbread men, soldiers, a dancing light show, and so on. They have an open house near Christmas where they dress as Mr. and Mrs. Claus. They give out toys to all of the children who visit and everyone gets hot cocoa and treats. Always a highlight of ours to go to : )

A whole day with the girls!

Yesterday was my sweet Moms Birthday. We started off the day with getting our pictures taken. (My mom, 3 sisters and I) We ended up getting the looniest lady for a photographer!! We did end up with 2 acceptable pictures though.......we were just happy to be able to get all of us together.....that was a miracle in itself!! After pictures my mom took all of us girls to a tea/luncheon at Gardner village. It was a cute quaint little place. They had so many cute girlie things to look at. I tried out the pink hot chocolate, oh my it was tasty : ) We were also served yummy sandwiches and great desserts. I loved it! My mom was so happy to have her girls all to herself.

We mentioned to the server that it was my moms B-day so she brought out a tiara for her to wear. It suited "Queen Mother" so well. Oh so pretty, yes so pretty!

Then later we all went back to my moms to hang out.

Later that evening my sisters and I went to girls night out. It was at our friend Sonja's house. We had Hawaiian haystacks for dinner. Yummy yummy. We had a good turn out. A few of the girls are from my old neighborhood growing up, we pretty much consider them as our sisters too : ) What a fun day I had with all of the girls!!!!!

So, I didn't get pic's of everyone, Sorry if you don't see yourself :( Oh, but I did get a lovely shot of Toby the dog......oh way cute....YIKES!!!
