Carter and his silly faces
Some of you may have seen these pictures before but I couldn't resist putting them on here. They are my all time fav's. Carter makes us laugh everyday with all of his silly faces. He is such an animated little guy. What a little ham! By the way, for those of you who don't know (Mom maybe?) If you double click on the pic's you can see the enlarged version : )

Making plans
Carter and Talon were having fun just hanging out. I asked Talon what they were doing and he said that they were making plans about their day together. They love each other so much. (FYI-there is no sound on this video. Just pretend! Or you can bop to the awesome music on my play list). Also at the beginning Carter is doing his "new trick" scratching his head.

The Queen Mother : )
Speaking of my mom........I think I should take a minute to write a bit about her too! (This picture is with her Uncles Peter and Stan from Liverpool England, we love them!!! ) My mom is such a great woman. She touches many lives with her kindness and generosity. She is a fun spirited woman with lots of love to give. If you need a hug she is the one to get one from. I have looked up to her my whole life. I am grateful for all of the great wisdom and advice that she has given to me. My kids adore her and I feel so grateful that she takes time out for them and lets them know that they are loved by her. I have great memories of time spent with her as a child and now as an adult. I am so blessed to have her as a mom and as a friend. Love you mom!
Stan and Peter: SAUSAGES!!!!!
First day of school
Here are the excited boys on their first day of school. They have had such a great time a just love their teachers. Keaton keeps telling me that he is so happy because his teacher looks and acts like his Nanna (my mom). Cute! He said that the only thing that would make it even better, would be if his Nanna really was his teacher. Can you tell how much he admires her. Keaton is in 2nd grade this year. Boy does time fly. Talon is in his 2nd year of preschool and has 2 teachers. He has a "new friend" named Carson. The two of them like to talk a lot. Poor teachers! I am happy that both of my boys feel comfortable when they are away. (so sad that my pic and the others I took that day are fuzzy : (

A look back on some summer fun.
Keaton and cousin Maylee had a blast on this water slide!
A fun day at the Syracuse parade. The kids had so much fun and got tons of candy.
Grandpa and Grandma Nelson had their annual 4th of July party. Along with fireworks of course!
Keaton and Talon like to get their bikes spiffy clean. I remember doing this when I was younger too!
Keaton learned how to ride this minibike at our family cabin on the 24th of July. Cool dude!
School starts tomorrow for my boys so summer vacation is now over. We did many many fun things over the summer. I hope that I gave the kids some lasting memories. I sure had a great time with them.

So embarrassing
Yesterday I was driving home from the mall. The kids were hungry and tired and so was I. We had a hectic day to say the least. I stopped at a red light at a major intersection and when the light turned green I couldn't go............................Ugh! I was out of gas!!!!! I have been so busy lately that I overlooked something super important especially when you have a vehicle with 3 kids inside. I ended up calling 911 and they sent an officer to my rescue. It took about 20 minutes for them to arrive. Meanwhile I had so many people giving me dirty looks, honking, and starring. Only one person stopped to help but when I said I ran out of gas he said he couldn't help me and left. At one point I told the boys that all we can do is laugh. So we did!!!! What else can you do in a moment like that. (the baby slept through this whole event). The officer arrived and pushed me around the corner and then my brother in law "Super John" came to the rescue with some gas. Oh my heavens how embarrassing was this little episode!!!!!! Lesson learned, even when life is hectic, check to make sure that you have gasoline : )
